Back to Spring & Summer 2020 Announcements

Deadline to apply for CARES ACT Emergency Grant for spring is May 8

The University’s deadline for students to apply for the previously announced emergency financial assistance CARES Act grants for spring is (Friday) May 8 at 4:45 p.m. This is also the deadline for students who have not already submitted a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2019-2020 academic year to do so if they wish to be considered for the CARES Act Emergency Grant.

Students that have already submitted a CARES Act Emergency Grant Application do not need to resubmit despite the updated guidance from the Department of Education in order to be reviewed for eligibility.

As a reminder, the Department of Education announced that students must be eligible for Title IV aid to qualify for the CARES Act grants. Additionally, a student is not eligible if they were enrolled in programs that were exclusively online even before COVID-19 closures.
